MOUNTAIN VIEW

Steve, Gary, Cat & Jim

these cabins were in decent shape
One of four structures in the area

this place is livable
Few people venture here, which is why the glass is unbroken

Very little is known about Mountain View.  One thing that we do know is that it is further up the road than we traveled.   As we passed Keystone on our way to Mountain View, daylight was fading.   After a long day of exploring and dealing with flash flood damaged roads, we were really looking for a good place to camp.   There wasn't much left at Keystone and we knew Mountain View was several miles up the canyon road.   We reached the cabins shown here just as it was becoming dark and decided this was a good place to camp.  We had cabins, great mountain scenery, seclusion, and plenty of wood.   We will venture further up the canyon on a future trip.

also livable, but not as good as the other one
Another decent cabin with good windows

tables and chairs are still inside
The interior of this Cabin

it was empty
This appears to be a storage shed

we don't find these very often
A good reason to camp here
